- About to ICIDSC 2026-
The International Conference on Industrial Design and Smart Cities 2026 (ICIDSC 2026) will be held grandly in Chengdu, a cutting-edge creative design city in China. This conference focuses on the deep integration of industrial design innovation and the development needs of smart cities, aiming to build an interdisciplinary, open and collaborative international academic exchange platform, gathering experts, scholars, designers, urban managers, representatives of technology enterprises and policy makers in the fields of industrial design, product innovation, human-computer interaction, urban planning, smart transportation, environmental design, artificial intelligence and public services. The conference will conduct in-depth discussions on cutting-edge topics such as smart products and user experience design (UX/UI), innovative design of public facilities for smart cities, sustainable design and circular economy models, human-oriented smart home and community systems, AI driven design assistance tools and generative design, accessible design and inclusive urban services, smart transportation products and travel solutions, application of digital twins and virtual reality technology in urban design, integration and innovation of cultural heritage and modern design, data visualization and urban information design. Through various forms such as keynote speeches, thematic forums, paper presentations, design work exhibitions, and case sharing, we aim to promote the empowerment of design thinking in the construction of smart cities and the creation of high-quality living environments. ICIDSC 2026 emphasizes the core concept of "designing for people, smart connected cities, and green coexistence", committed to driving urban intelligent transformation and sustainable development through innovative design, and improving residents' quality of life and urban resilience. The high-quality papers accepted by the conference will be recommended for publication in international journals indexed by SSCI, Scopus, or EI to enhance academic influence.

All full paper submissions to the ICIDSC 2026 could be written in English and will be sent to at least two reviewers and evaluated based on originality, technical or research content or depth, correctness, relevance to conference, contributions, and readability. All accepted papers of ICIDSC 2026 will be published in the conference proceedings, which will be submitted to EI Compendex, Scopus for indexing.

Contributors are encouraged to submit papers / abstracts to the conference. The organizing committee will select high-quality papers and recommend them to SCI/SSCI journals. For specific matters, please contact the person in charge of the conferrence.
Submission Guidelines
Delegates are encouraged to submit their papers/abstracts to the conference. Good quality papers will be selected by the organizing committee and Prof. Soteris Kalogirou, the editor in chief. After it, the authors will be invited to extent their papers/abstracts and submit them to icidsc@sub-paper.com. The normal size of research papers is 4,000-6,000 words excluding abstract and references.
